- Rick said he was helping the Hulk run from the government all because he made "one stupid mistake". He was referring to his accepting of a dare to drive out to the site where Bruce Banner was testing his gamma bomb. Banner pushed Rick into a protective trench, saving his life but absorbing the gamma rays that transformed him into the Hulk.
